The wholesale inflation rate in India has also been more than a percent in the month of June. According to the All India Wholesale Price Index, the inflation rate in the month of June has been 15.18% (provisional).
There has been a slight decline in the wholesale inflation rate in the month of June as compared to May. According to the data released by the government, it was 15.88 percent in the month of May.
Responding to the continued increase in inflation, the government has said that in June 2022, the rise in mineral oil, food articles, crude petroleum and natural gas, basic metals, chemicals, chemical products and food related products continues.
This is the reason that there is no relief from inflation in June this year as compared to June last year.
