NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Dr. Suman K. Berry said this while addressing a high-level diplomatic forum in New York. Appreciating India’s scientific research and vaccine production mechanism, Berry said that India has taken several initiatives to reduce the impact of the corona pandemic and take several steps to protect lives and livelihoods. Berry said that the largest free corona vaccination campaign is going on in India on the basis of vaccine production system. More than 1.98 billion doses have been delivered to all parts of the country.

The Chairman of NITI Aayog said that under the Vaccine ‘Maitri’ initiative, India has supplied more than 23.50 crore vaccines to 98 countries of the world. In the Ministerial Round Table Conference, Berry said that for the recovery in the economic growth rate after the Corona epidemic in the country, the government focused on capital expenditure and creating world-class infrastructure.

Referring to the environment, Berry said that PM Narendra Modi has clarified India’s goals in COP-27. We are committed to this. This is important for the Sustainable Development Goals. We take development and environmental protection together.
