After the end of the rule of the Pahlavi dynasty in Iran, the new constitution of Iran came into force in 1949. At that time Reza Shah Pahlavi was the king of the country. Mohamed Mossadiq became prime minister in 1952 but was overthrown in 1953. After this Shah Pahlavi became the sovereign of the country. Pahlavi was considered a puppet of America. He deported the opposition leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in 1964. The public did not like this coup and this action. Then in 1978 there were protests against him. It is also called Islamic Revolution. After this, he left the country with the Shah Pahlavi family on 16 January 1979 and reached America. Viktor Yanukovich came in 2010 after winning the election as Ukrainian President. He promised to improve relations with Russia as well as with the European Union. In November 2013, the European Union was supposed to sign a deal with Ukraine, but Yanukovic backed out. After this the rebellion started in Ukraine. During this time he was also accused of corruption. On 22 February 2014, the Ukrainian parliament voted on a proposal to remove Yanukovich from office. He was removed from office.
