The monsoon session of Parliament is starting from Monday, July 18. Earlier, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla called an important meeting of all political parties on Saturday. During this, he told all the leaders about the preparations for the Parliament session. Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, DMK MP TR Balu, Union Minister and BJP leader including Prahlad Joshi, BJP MP Arjun Ram Meghwal, YSRCP MP PV Mithunreddy, RLJP MP Pashupati Kumar Paras and MPs from other parties attended the meeting.
After the meeting, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla told that the session will start from July 18 and will continue till August 12. Discussions were held with the leaders of all the parties regarding the session. I have urged leaders of all parties to discuss important issues in the interest of the country. The House ran with dignity without interference. Leaders of all parties have assured that we will cooperate in the proceedings of the House. According to sources, in the meeting the leaders of opposition parties raised the demand for discussion on inflation, Agneepath scheme and depreciation of rupee against dollar.
The meeting discussed which issues would be raised during the Parliament session. During this time, how much time will be given for discussion on different bills. It is being told that during this time matters like the recently released list of unparliamentary words were also discussed. The Speaker of the Lok Sabha holds an all-party meeting before the start of every Parliament session. The monsoon session of Parliament will begin from July 18.
