The nasal spray, designed to protect against the dangers of corona, has reduced the effect of the virus by 94% within 24 hours, while the virus has been controlled by 99% in 48 hours. Mumbai-based pharma company Glenmark has made this claim in the results of a clinical trial, which has been published in the medical journal The Lancet Regional Health. In February this year, this nasal spray, which took permission from the government, was launched under the name Fabi Spray.

Glenmark’s head of clinic development, Monica Tandon, said the nasal spray was tested in 20 hospitals across the country. In this, patients with mild symptoms (those who took the vaccine) and patients without vaccine were kept in separate groups. One was given a nasal spray, ie, nitric oxide through the nose, while the other group was given a placebo. When the results were reviewed after seven days, the effect was found. Research has found that viral load decreased by 94% within 24 hours in high-risk patients.

Not getting the precautionary dose of Sputnik

People in most parts of the country including Delhi are not getting the precautionary dose of Sputnik vaccine. The Health Ministry has ordered the states to make available the doses of Sputnik-5 at private immunization centres. Also, contact people and appeal to them to take precautionary doses.

So far 12,27,260 doses of Sputnik-5 have been given in the country, but now the third dose is not available. Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan sent a letter to the Chief Secretaries of the states and directed them to provide the vaccine immediately.

Corona’s new patients crossed 20 thousand, 38 died

In a single day, 20,139 new corona patients have been found in the country. The daily infection rate is also more than 5%, which is worrying according to the standards set by the World Health Organization. At present, after February this year, the maximum number of corona patients have come to the fore in a single day in the country. At the same time, 38 people died in 24 hours. On the other hand, corona vaccination has reached more than 199 crores in the country so far.

New Delhi. Amrit Mahotsav of anti-corona vaccine will be celebrated across the country for the next 75 days from today. Under this, a special campaign will run from villages to cities, in which all three doses of anti-corona vaccine will be available free of cost to all age groups at government centers. The vaccine will be made available at major fair, religious tour, school, college, railway and bus station everywhere.
