With the knock of monkeypox in India, a team of scientists has started trying to get the virus alive. A team from the National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune, has started culture to isolate live virus from samples of infected people from Kerala.
After the virus is isolated, scientists will begin further studies to know about the vaccine, drug and response to the virus. The corona virus was also found alive in a similar way. However, during that time he had also failed twice. It is believed that the country can get a big achievement in the next one to two weeks.
The investigation will proceed if the virus is found alive
A senior scientist at NIV said, “Out of more than 30 samples that have reached us so far, infection has been found.” Now the live virus is being isolated. Treatment management can be done on the basis of global information about monkeypox.
According to NIV, there is not much evidence about monkeypox like corona, but it is necessary that if someone is a monkeypox infected patient and someone else comes in contact with the towel, mobile, utensils, bathroom etc. may become infected.
- As per the guidelines, asymptomatic patients will have to remain in quarantine for 21 days. Symptoms of monkeypox usually last six to 13 days, but in some cases, symptoms may last for five to 21 days.
- If a person has returned during the last 21 days from a country where cases of monkeypox are being found, then there are complaints of skin rash, swelling, fever, headache, body pain or weakness, then they will be considered suspicious.
- A suspected patient would be one who has more symptoms of the disease but has not been tested.
