After the confirmation of monkeypox virus in Kerala, the central government has become alert and has written a letter to many states asking them to remain alert. Along with this, instructions have been given to implement the guidelines prepared by the Union Health Ministry. Apart from this, the Union Health Ministry has sent a multi-disciplinary team to Kerala in view of the confirmation of monkeypox in Kollam district of Kerala. This team will work closely with the state health officials.
