Google has launched its new streaming device Chromecast in India. Launched on Monday, Chromecast supports the latest streaming platform and can play 4K HDR video at 60 frames per second (fps). It also has support for Dolby Vision.
This Chromecast, which works with Google TV, comes with the voice remote feature and also has a dedicated Google Assistant button. It was first launched in the US in 2020. The new streaming device will compete with the Realme 4K Smart Google TV Stick and Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max in India.
This Google streaming device has been launched in Snow White color. The price of Google Chromecast has been kept at Rs 6,399. In India, this device can be purchased from the online e-commerce platform Flipkart. Also, an additional 5% discount and EMI option has also been given on Flipkart with Flipkart Axis Bank Card. Google will soon make it available in the retail market as well.
Google Chromecast comes with a compact design, which easily connects to the TV via the HDMI port. Using this device, you can access movies, TV serials and app content at one place. This Chromecast can play 4K HDR video at 60 frames per second (fps) with Dolby Vision sound quality. The weight of this device is 118 grams.
This Chromecast has a dedicated Google Assistant button along with the Voice Remote feature, from which the smart lights of the house can also be controlled. Also, a separate button has been given for entertainment platforms like YouTube and Netflix. The device also supports entertainment platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Spotify, Disney+ Hotstar, Zee5, MX Player and Voot.
