Ed Raids The Houses Of Two Bengal Ministers In Teacher Recruitment Scam, Mamta Governments Trouble Increased – Bengal Ssc Scam

The Mamta government of West Bengal is getting surrounded by the teacher recruitment scam related to the School Service Commission (SSC) of West Bengal. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today raided the houses of two state ministers – Partha Chatterjee and Paresh Adhikari – in Kolkata.
According to ED sources, at least seven to eight ED officials reached Chatterjee’s residence in Naktala around 8.30 am. The ED team raided till around 11 am. During this, personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) remained stationed outside.
Chatterjee is now commerce minister
Partha Chatterjee is now the Minister of Industries and Commerce, he was the Minister of Education at the time when the alleged scam happened. The CBI has questioned him twice. The first questioning was done on 25 April, while the second time on 18 May. The CBI has also questioned the Minister of State for Education, West Bengal. Apart from this, his daughter has lost her job as a school teacher. The officer told reporters that he was unable to speak to his family over the phone.

Raid also on former chairman of education boar
ED officials also raided the residence of Manik Bhattacharya, former chairman of the West Bengal Board of Primary Education, located in Kolkata’s Jadavpur area. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is probing alleged irregularities in the recruitment of Group ‘C’ and ‘D’ staff and teachers in government-sponsored and aided schools on the recommendations of the West Bengal School Service Commission. The then Education Minister Chatterjee and Minister of State for Education Paresh Chandra Adhikari are also surrounded by allegations in the scam. This investigation is being done on the directions of the Calcutta High Court. The ED has launched a probe to probe allegations of illegal transactions in the case.
