Case filed against Yash Raj Films

This case is from the year 2007, when the film ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’ was released. Daler Mehndi was furious about the title track of the film starring Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Lara Dutta, Bobby Deol and Preity Zinta. Actually he was its original singer. His voice was reportedly replaced by Shankar Mahadevan’s voice without any notice. In such a situation, Daler Mehndi filed a case against Yash Raj Films. In this, he talked about a formal apology from Yash Raj Films and also allegedly demanded Rs 1 crore. However, the makers also retaliated. Yash Raj Films accepted that Daleh Mehndi was the original singer. Also it was revealed that the terms and conditions could not be worked out, so he had to remove his voice.
