An Air Arabia flight (G9-426) that departed from Sharjahan, United Arab Emirates, encountered a technical problem while landing at the Kochi airport this evening. It is being told that there was a problem with the hydraulic system of the flight, after which the Kochi airport was alerted.
It was a matter of relief that the plane landed safely. All 222 passengers on board and all seven crew members are safe.
According to the Cochin International Airport Authority, a complete emergency was declared at the airport as soon as the technical glitch was reported. However, now everything is normal. The airport has resumed operations. The first flight has left for Chennai from Indigo. Full emergency has been withdrawn at 8.22 pm.
